I'm always having trouble remembering what presents to give to people for their wedding anniversaries (I gave up long ago on remembering for my own spouse). To help myself and anyone interested to remember, here is a simple guide to the different wedding anniversaries.

The First 10 Years

The first 10 anniversaries are easy enough to remember, and start out simple with paper, plastics and clocks. The decade ends with the bang of diamond jewelry, or the much cheaper alternatives of tin and aluminum.

Years 11 to 25

Years 11 to 25 get a bit more complicated, culminating in the well-known silver anniversary at year 25.

Year 26 and Beyond

After many decades of marriage, couples might have trouble coming up with creative ideas. Some of the suggested themes for the later years get inventive or downright bizarre. Bone china? Improved real estate? Original poetry tributes? They're all in there.
