That I Am Lonely

Posted on Nov 14, 2020 by in Poetry |

Sad and Alone

How does it feel right now to be a lover in darkness
With no light,
Of falling in love with a darkness without a light.
For as the sinner knows
That I am lonely,
No other will play my lonely part.
For the sinner sees
That I am lonely,
No other will play my lonely part.
Oh, how it must be,
Lying beside you.
Oh, how it must be.
Sleep little by little.
I have dreamed far too many sad nights.
How they must have,
So many sorry eyes,
Eyed from now on,
No one to call your own.
Falling apart,
But still you are here.
