Let’s Go to the Movies with AI

AI at the Movies

Generative AI is all the rage right now, with several AI engines out there that can produce jaw-dropping creations. Using an AI image generator, you can quickly create impressive portraits, landscapes, and really just about anything that you can imagine. I like to combine unexpected elements to generate visuals that you wouldn’t normally expect. One series I put together, using the Midjourney AI engine, is a series of movies starring different actors than the original stars.

To do this, I simply took a list of the top 250 films from IMDB and the list of the top 100 grossing actors from thenumbers.com. This produced some unusual results. Here are some of my favorites.

To make these, I just used the prompt:

 [movie name] starring [actor name]

I let the “imagination” of the AI take over from there.

And what about movies starring people who aren’t Hollywood actors? You can do that, too!

Apocalypse Now starring Elon Musk
Toy Story 3 starring Donald Trump

About the Movies and Actors

Gladiator was a very popular film starring Russell Crowe. I have never seen it but my brother told me it was great. It was made in 2000. I had never heard of Russell Crowe until he appeared in that movie. I’ve seen several movies he was in, but that is the only one I can think of off hand that I haven’t seen. I think I saw Gladiator at the movie theater. It was a very long time ago.

Singin’ in the Rain is a classic musical and film from a long time ago. The music and the songs are all still very popular today. The original film starred Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor. It has one of the most famous scenes in film history — with Gene Kelly dancing and singing in the pouring rain. It’s one of the best movie musicals of all time, and it still has a special place in our hearts.

Who doesn’t love Forrest Gump? He was a real-life idiot savant who became an American hero by winning a football game on the most unlikely of occasions. He won the girl and the war all in one. And he didn’t even understand the point of the Vietnam War.

The film, which starred Tom Hanks and Robin Wright as Forrest and Jenny, respectively, is a modern classic, but its subject is very much from another time. The same cannot be said of the real-life person who inspired it.

Forrest Gump’s creator is still alive and well and living in the United States.

Once Upon a Time in America is an epic movie from 1984 starring Robert de Niro. It has an amazing soundtrack that was composed by Ennio Morricone.

Morricone, born in Rome on March 6th, 1928, is one of the most important Italian composers. His style has always been characterized by an original combination of western classical music and pop music.

He has also collaborated with various directors, including Sergio Leone, Francis Ford Coppola and Bernardo Bertolucci.

Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back is considered by many to be the best film in the Star Wars franchise.

The plot revolves around the Rebellion attempting to free their home planet of Alderaan from Imperial rule, and the Empire’s attempt to crush the rebellion in turn. This was the first time that Yoda (Frank Oz) appeared in live-action media.

The film has become a classic and has remained popular since its initial release. It also won an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, a first for Star Wars.

Casablanca is considered a film classic. It starred Humphery Bogart and Ingrid Bergen.

The movie was about World War II, the Nazis, and an American named Rick Blaine who had a club in Casablanca. The Nazis were looking for him, and he went on the run to try and save his life.

At one point the Germans had taken over all of Casablanca and the Nazis were after Rick Blaine. Rick Blaine’s girlfriend, Ilsa, who was played by Ingrid Bergen, said that they would have to leave Casablanca because the Germans were coming after them. She asked Rick, “What will we do?” He responded, “I guess we’ll have to stick together.”
