BIO (en francais) Reb Han (aka Paul Rebhan) creates projects that explore and experiment with perception. These works take many forms: visual paintings, social experiments, writings, sound paintings, drawings, conceptual art, performance art, etc. Reb is considered one of the pioneers of perceptual art. Noted by the New York Times as one of the "unorthodox geniuses toiling away in their labs and libraries, bent on changing the world," Reb first gained international attention in 1994 after secretly installing one of his own paintings in New York's Museum of Modern Art. Reb's painting stayed on display for two days alongside works by other groundbreaking artists including Picasso, Warhol and Dali. He became the first person known to ever smuggle an artwork into a museum.
Since then he has appeared in, and produced many art
exhibits including the
New York Erotic Art Expo (tm),
and was selected to contribute a painting for the United Nations' 50th anniversary.
Reb has consulted for organizations
including Disney, Viacom and Time-Warner, and has taught at Palm Beach
Community College. He's been featured
in many newspaper and magazine articles, has appeared internationally on television and radio,
and has even performed onstage with Eminem.
